The design and development stages of a website project are fairly easy concepts to grasp, but deployment is a little more abstract. Put in fairly basic terms, it's an umbrella term that can be applied to all the day to day aspects of running your website.

Website Deployment

In a nutshell, the deployment phase of your website build project dictates what the end result is actually going to say.

Unlike design and development, which generally have clearly defined start and end points, deployment is never over. And while you can leave most aspects of the design and development of your site to us, its successful deployment is going to be largely down to your efforts.

A simple truth is that the majority of web projects that fail to deliver in some way, generally do so in the deployment stage. And this often stems from the client's failure to appreciate that successful deployment involves more than pressing the “launch button” on their new website.

The Website Deployment Team

Assembling the right team to run your site once it's live is central to its future success. If you're a one man (or woman) outfit then that team is likely to be just you. And that's great news, because you're likely to have the passion and drive to do a decent job.

Just as if you were thinking of invading an oil-rich Middle Eastern state, it helps if you've put a plan together for what happens after your troops hit the ground. And this deployment plan should ideally be drawn up long before you start your website's Shock and Awe assault on the World Wide Web.
