Visitors will make a sub-conscious decision about the quality and trustworthiness of your company or organisation within seconds of visiting your website, so a well planned and executed visual design will be central in creating the right first impression.

Visual Appearance Design

Great visual design sets a website apart. It creates confidence, engenders trust and encourages people to connect with your company or organisation. For these reasons, lucid, elegant and engaging visual design has always been central to every website we've ever created.

But was there a better way?

While looking at our finished websites was always satisfying, getting there was often a slow and frustrating process. With revisions going back and forth, communications being misunderstood and great new ideas being introduced just that little bit too late to be easily incorporated, we realised a few years ago that we needed a more efficient way to bring our sites to the point where they could be launched. So we created one.

The new and improved visual design process!

Our unique methodology for delivering great website design was developed specifically to eliminate the problems we'd encountered with a more traditional web design process. It's a 3 stage process, designed to allow us to move the design stage forward from static prototypes as fast as possible, onto something that acts and reacts like the real website.

Stage 1 : The LoFi Wireframe

A LoFi wireframe is a line or computer drawing that shows the placement and sizing of elements on the page. Adjusting a LoFi wireframe layout at the beginning of the design process is vastly simpler than modifying a complex page layout later in the process.

Stage 2 : The HiFi Wireframe

The HiFi wireframe takes the approved LoFi wireframe layouts, and combines them with a Static Content Server framework based on the site structure defined during the IA design process, creating a functional design prototype ready for skinning.
