We have been delivering highly functional websites for years now. So building our own content management system was a natural progression - allowing us to specify a secure and stable system that just provides the functionality our clients are likely to need.

Our Framework - The Lucid CMS

The Lucid CMS

After years of delivering functional sites, and encountering constant frustration with the complexity and inflexibility of the off the shelf software solutions open to us, we came to the conclusion that we could build our own system that was perfectly suited to our client's needs.

So we sat down and drew up a list of architectural specifications, and turned our efforts to creating a system that met them all. The Lucid CMS is the result.

It's a highly scalable and extensible system; compact yet powerful, feature rich yet simple to use. It powers all of the projects we're involved with today.

It's a module based system, so it offers low initial costs and rapid deployment, while providing clients with the peace of mind that comes with the knowledge that if they need to extend their site's functionality in the future, it won't cost the earth.

The Static Content Server module

Static Content Server modules are self-contained, miniature content management systems. They provide all the necessary functionality for creating, editing and managing non-dynamic pages, and they're the basic building block of all of our websites.

Inherent Capabilities of the Lucid CMS

Our experience of delivering successful web projects over the last decade had shown us that although each site might require some unique functionality, all sites have the same basic requirements. So we've built the Lucid CMS to cater specifically for those needs.

Behind the scenes

The Lucid CMS is built on the L.A.M.P. (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) software stack. It's the most popular platform for database-driven sites, and has been for many years.
